GOOD TO KNOW
Before you begin.
What is the difference between resizing and compressing?
Resizing changes pixel dimensions, such as 2000 × 1500 to 800 × 600. Compression aims to reduce file size in KB or MB and may change encoding quality. A strict upload limit may require both.
Can I guarantee an exact image file size?
No. The achievable size depends on the source, dimensions, format and quality. Use the preview and reported output size, and reduce dimensions if acceptable quality cannot fit the target.
Which format keeps a transparent background?
PNG and WebP support transparency. JPG does not; converting a transparent image to JPG requires a solid background. Check the result before replacing your original.
Do I need to upload my photos to a server?
These tools process selected files in your browser. The website may load application code or a conversion library over the network, but the selected photo is not sent to a FileUp24 processing server.
