Flatten PDF Annotations

Bakes comments, shapes, stamps, free text and filled form fields into the page itself and removes the annotation objects, so nothing can be moved, edited or hidden afterwards. Links are kept (they are invisible). Annotations with no appearance are removed without drawing — there is nothing visual to keep.

How to use Flatten PDF Annotations

Bake comments, shapes and form fields into the page and remove the annotation objects. Links kept.

  1. Prepare your input

Open a PDF containing visible annotations or filled form fields.

  2. Use the workspace

Flatten the appearances into the pages.

  3. Check your result

Check comments and field values in the exported PDF.

Know the limits

Annotations without an appearance can be removed without drawing. Keep an editable original; flattening is not secure redaction.
