Grayscale PDF

Renders every page and converts it to true grayscale (luminance), then rebuilds the PDF at the same page sizes — ideal for mono printing or removing colour. Honest scope: pages become images at the dpi you choose, so text is no longer selectable; the tool says so and reports the dpi.

A little guidance. A better result.

How to use Grayscale PDF

Every page rendered and converted to true luminance grayscale at your dpi; pages become images, and it says so.

  1. Prepare your input

Open a PDF and choose rendering resolution.

  2. Use the workspace

    Convert the pages to grayscale.

  3. Check your result

Check small text, page count and output size.

Know the limits

Pages become images and text is no longer selectable. Colour removal does not guarantee a smaller PDF.
